Flight Arrangements to Barcelona

We just received our third and, I hope final itinerary for our November flight from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona. After first being scheduled on British Airways out of Miami via London, then on Delta via New York Kennedy direct to Barcelona.

We are now scheduled to fly KLM from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis, Tennessee, then to Amsterdam before continuing to Barcelona. With only an hour in Amsterdam, we won't be able to see anything. Too bad we can't trade one of our nights in Barcelona for one there, although I'm not sure that would really be better. Just a thought.

It's only 47 days until the flight, and now that final flight arrangements are known, planning can be finalized for the preflight portion of the cruise. For instance, we have decided to cancel the rental cars reserved when thought we were flying from Miami, and returning to Fort Lauderdale.

Instead, we will now drive to Fort Lauderdale, and use one of the Park and Fly lots available. Parking is cheaper than at either the Airport or Cruise Port lots, and they offer free on-demand shuttle service to either one. We are using Airport Parking Reservations.com then selecting Continental Airport Parking. There are others, but Continental is only $6.00 per day and serves both the airport and cruise port.
