Cruise on the Azamara Journey

Julia and I booked a cruise on the Celebrity Journey in late January for a 14 day cruise leaving Cape Liberty, New Jersey on October 27.  This cruise is a  repositioning cruise from Cape liberty to Miami Florida. We booked the cruise in response to an email from Cruise Club of America.  It was a deal too good to pass up, and since it was a four day sale, we thought fast and  booked immediately.  The sale included only inside and ocean view cabins, We selected Stateroom 4000 which is extreme forward on the port side.  It is an oceanview stateroom without balcony and was priced at $150 higher than the inside stateroom.  Following is part of the email announcing the sale.  Unfortunately, we were mot able to get the rate extended to some of our family who have expressed a desire to join us.  The sale is over and the current price is approximately $750 higher.

Azamara Journey

Julia and I almost always cruise oceanview, unless the cost differential is great then we choose an inside cabin.  We have only done that twice in the past, but do enjoy it because we then plan on spending less time in our room.. Azamara Cruise Itinerary

This cruise leaves Cape Liberty, Cruise Port, NJ on Saturday October 27, and after spending a day at sea, docks for 2 days in Hamilton, Bermuda. After another day at sea, we visit Grand Turk, then Labadee, Haiti and then another day at sea.  We then port at Santa Marta, Columbia, Cartagena, Columbia,  and San Andres island, Panama, before spending another two days finally ending our cruise in Miami, Florida.

The Celebrity Journey became the Azamara Journey when RCCL created the new cruise line just prior to the inaugural cruise of the Journey on May 5 on May.

Now that the sailing date is within 5 months, we are lookong forward to the preparations involved and the approaching date.
